| Virtual Handbell Spring Concert 2024 |
We are happy to announce a 2024 virtual spring concert! Groups, small ensembles, and soloists are encouraged to send in videos of their performances from the 2023-2024 performing year. All music is welcome: sacred, secular, Christmas, etc. We would love to have entries from all over the province! Keep this in mind when performing this year.
Important Dates:
- Application forms due by April 12, 2024. Please click HERE for the application form.
- Videos to be uploaded by May 10, 2024.
- OGEHR virtual concert premiere May 26, 2024, 7:30 p.m.
Information required by emcees to introduce your performance:
- Short bio of choir/ensemble/soloist (Approx. 3 to 5 short sentences)
- Short write-up on the composition you are performing (Approx. 3 to 5 short sentences)
Here is an example of a write-up that works well as an introduction to the piece:
Processional in G by Patricia Hurlbutt is a bright, brisk composition that beautifully introduces bells and chimes for a special ceremonial occasion. Fanfares begin and end the piece, while a lyrical minor-key middle section features a melody on handchimes. Key movement from G major to Bb major heightens the intensity of the musical celebration.

If the file you have is on your computer, you can click the link below to open OGEHR's file drop service. Find the video file on your computer and draft it into the file drop page. Click this link to go to our file drop page.
C. Direct Share:
If your video is on an Apple device, you should be able to click "Share" and send it by email to Rob Cairns (President of OGEHR). Please use rob.j.cairns@gmail.com.
